Projects:
2011 (thus far)
I love learning about video and film making. Below is my the video project I worked on this summer & early fall to help tell the story of a friend who is a scholarship recipient working on her PhD out in Sacramento, CA. Our task was to help capture and tell the story of Rev. Kristin Stoneking–Campus Minister and Director of the CA House at the University of California in Davis, CA. She has received the Bishop James C. Baker Scholarship which aids United Methodist collegiate ministers in advanced degree or doctoral studies. More info about the filming & production here.

In the Spring & Summer of 2011 I have been working with the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry’s Campus Ministry Unit to help plan and promote Prepare: A mentor based training event for new campus ministers & chaplains. We wanted to make a quick video to promote the event and so we filmed for 5 mins using my DSLR camera and from the footage I produced this video.
In May of 2011 I worked with the Georgia Commission on Higher Education and Campus Ministry (United Methodist Campus Ministers and Chaplains from Georgia) to put together a 3 minute promotional video using footage taken by campus ministers, chaplains, and students that resulted in “Telling the Story of Campus Ministry In Georgia.“
2009
In the Spring of 2009 I worked as a Teaching Assistant for a class called “Technology for Ministry” at Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Under the direction of Dr. John Weaver, the class partnered with a local non-profit, Intown Community Assistance, who assists with the emergency needs of the homeless and at risk populations of east, Intown Atlanta, Ga. The main goal of our class was to produce a video that can be imbedded in their website to tell visitors about their services and opportunities to volunteer and donate.
The video was filmed, edited, and produced by Dr. John Weaver and me. Special thanks to Myron McGhee’s excellent photography and Lee Jones and Stan Taylor for their consultant work on this project.
